Lake Buffalo

Lake Buffalo, located near the town of Bartow is a 22-acre lake that offers fisherman a quiet retreat from cities and is regularly stocked with trout by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. Boating is limited to electric trolling motors. Facilities include vault toilets, a sparking lot, and a concrete boat ramp. Some dispersed camping is available in the area. Lake Buffalo also includes an accessible fishing area. Some people prefer to camp at Island Campground, located on State Route 28. Swimming is not permitted at Lake Buffalo.
